Oliver Wong's sad face

http://annchinchan.blogspot.co.nz/…/sad-face painting -by-oliver-wong… Oliver, your painting is just the right one for my latest book.

This painting also suits all my other books. In all 4 of them, women  have sad faces in different times of their life.

baby born to a woman with a transplanted womb -

LONDON -- For the world's first baby born to a woman with a transplanted womb -- a medical first -- only a victorious name would do.
Which is why his parents named him "Vincent," meaning "to conquer," according to his mother.
The 36-year-old Swedish mother learned she had no womb when she was 15 and was devastated, she said Saturday in an interview with The Associated Press.

This reminds me when I was in ICU with Andrew. There was this Malaysia who who had migrated to New Zealand. In Malaysia, she didn't conceive for a long time, and examination showed she had no womb.

It was a surprise to her when she conceived. She had to stay in hospital for her entire pregnancy and they had to take the baby out as soon as it was viable, about 6 months.

I wonder how they are doing now, and if the baby survived at all.

wild flowers on a grave

You never guess where I found these wild flowers.
These flowers were seen on a lawn cemetery,
Growing on a grave.
I like to think,
The Angel of the family,
Sprouted the tiny flowers,
To say, I love you.

Sam, my rainbow child.

Genesis 9:13New International Version (NIV)

13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

The bereaved parents community have adopted this rainbow and called their children who have been born after their deceased  child rainbow children.

Sam is my rainbow child. He came 7 years after Andrew. I didn't plan for him. God knew that though in my head, I didn't want any more children, in my heart I desired one.

At this Green Trail at Currumbin Sanctuary, Sam had to leap over one board to another. It was very jiggly but he managed to complete 4 courses when people did three. I was a very proud mum.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Shortly after Andrew died, we went to Goldcoast Australia. The guide at the Koala centre at Currumbin Sanctuary told the water engineer to hold the Koala and be gentle with it like a baby. My heart cried.
